Ely Stage Stop Museum

The Ely Stage Stop Museum is home to the Lake County Historical Society.  Its mission is to preserve Lake County’s Past, Present and Future.  Come see their Stagecoach and all of the late 1800s domestic and agricultural exhibits.  Its good old fashioned family fun!

Benjamin Ely and his family purchased the S-Bar-S Ranch is 1882 and, over the years, expanded the ranch to include operations, commercial corrals, a two-story hotel, post office, and general store.  The Ely Stage Stop became a relay station for stagecoaches, offering drivers a place to change horses while passengers enjoyed a meal.  Today, after a relocation in 2007 and careful restoration, the Ely Stage Stop and Country Museum offers visitors from all over the world an opportunity to learn about Lake County’s agricultural heritage.  Ely also serves as the home of the Lake county historical Society.

Celebrate a wedding, reception, special anniversary, or a family reunion.  Use the newly created outdoor stage to hold music events.  Facilities are available to support events, conferences, or family gatherings.  With their 5.5 acre property, and friendly volunteer staff, they will make your event spectacular!
